Government affairs The Insured Retirement Institute, formerly NAVA, the Association for Insured Retirement Solutions, has named John Little vice president of federal affairs, a newly created position. Most recently, Little worked for the Petrizzo Strategic Group, a Washington D.C.-based lobbying firm, where he was senior vice president. Previously, he spent more than 10 years as a senior staffer in the U.S. Senate. Following the 1996 election of Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), Little rose from a campaign volunteer to Session’s legislative director. He also served as chief of staff to Sen. Mel Martinez (R-Fla.) from his election in 2004 to 2008.
